The Youtube Experiment
We’re starting a YouTube channel from scratch as a live experiment to document our 3-
month journey to Asia. From February 23 to May 23, 2025, my wife Laura and I will be
exploring Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand. Using my filmmaking experience, I’ll create
simple yet engaging videos, applying strategies to connect with viewers and
grow the channel organically.
This trip is about more than travel—it’s about experiencing what it’s like to be away from home for an extended time. In our 50s, we’re not chasing parties but are eager to explore the food, culture, lifestyle, cost of living, and beautiful beaches these countries have to offer.
If this journey proves successful, we’re already considering returning to Asia next year. Let’s see where this adventure—and this channel—can take us!
